Texas is about to meet the UAE

Back in April I made a pretty important decision... I decided to leave Texas and move overseas to a country I never imagined myself living in--the United Arab Emerites. I have always wanted to teach overseas, but never pictured myself living in a Middle Eastern Country--I was always one to want to live in Australia, UK, etc. places like that. But, I am really excited and looking forward to this new adventure. I didn't want to live with a regret of not taking this opportunity--and the travel possibilities are ENDLESS (which was kind of the selling point--haha!)

Tomorrow is my last day of teaching in the States for awhile. I told my kids today that I would not be back next year and they were pretty sad. One of them told me he was going to "get in my suitbag and go with me," haha... you gotta love the mind of a 6 year old. The rest of them wanted to come with me and were going to surprise me at my house before I left.

I've been kind of stressed about the whole situation and have been kind of thinking but trying not to over think about the move until the school year is over. I want to tackle one thing at a time. But now that the year is over--it's time to tackle the move overseas. I've been trying to figure out what to take with me over there and it seems pretty near impossible. I've got to figure out the things that are MOST important to me to take over there to teach and live with. Wish me luck!

I will try and update this blog as the journey continues... so stay posted, it's going to be a WILD ride! :)
